The development of isostatically pressed crucibles was seen as a major breakthrough for the investment casting industry. Since that time continued research and development has been devoted to further refining and optimising both physical and chemical properties. Crucibles are formed at pressures of up to 20,000psi producing parts with the ultimate quality, with uniform density and no inconsistencies in pore size. Today, our Company's crucibles are used in major investment casting establishments throughout the world. Among the most demanding of these are the aero-engine and turbine manufacturing facilities. In these applications especially, the melting vessels demanded need exceptional properties to ensure purity of melts of the exotic alloys used to form intricate and expensive castings.
A number of presses are available, providing a comprehensive range of crucible sizes to suit most coreless induction furnaces in air or vacuum melting applications.
